This military weathervane depicts a Lancaster Bomber flanked by Spitfire and Hurricane aeroplanes, flying over a landscape changing from city to countryside. The finish consists of a layer of zinc electroplate to protect against rust, and a traditional looking but very tough matt black powder coat. The profile has a 4 mm thick rod welded in as extra support, but this is painted white so is barely noticeable against the sky.
