Spaniel Flushing Pheasants Weathervane

An excited Spaniel flushing two Pheasants out of the undergrowth is the subject for this stunning weathervane design. The Borthwick valley where we live and work is full of Pheasants so there was no shortage of inspiration for the design - virtually every time we leave the house we manage to startle one and it takes to the sky shrieking! The idea for this countryside weathervane was initially based on my parents' springer spaniels - I love to remember them leaping through the undergrowth joyfully following a scent, ears flying and tails wagging. The distinctive fern design makes this one of my favourite weathervanes - they are intricately cut by a nitrogen shrouded laser and make a stunning spaniel flushing pheasants design against the sky.
