This page displays our Morgan weathervane, one of the first classic car designs we created. The smooth curves of the body work are cut out, and even tiny details such as the engine louvres are highlighted. Natural light shines through these cut outs, producing a striking, bold silhouette that is instantly recognisable as a Morgan. A wonderful gift for Morgan owners and enthusiasts alike!
Morgan began making prototypes 1910 in the Malverns, UK. Still hand built today, the company rejects modern mass production techniques, instead favouring small runs which keeps the cars exclusive and in demand. The cars are known for their build quality, using ash wood as the wooden frame in the coach building process. They’re a unique car with a devoted following; an exceptional quality weathervane feels like a great way to celebrate your passion for these quirky classic cars.
Much like the Morgan car itself, there’s a real sense of quality when you handle a weathervane from Black Fox Metalcraft. The stylish 8mm thick arrows aren’t just there for aesthetics—they help the sail balance perfectly. The NSEW is cut from 5mm steel too, so it looks and feels reassuringly solid. And because the sail turns smoothly to face the wind, the precision cut Morgan profile is never hit full-on by a gust.
This weathervane would look great atop the garage or car port of a classic car enthusiast. Black Fox Metalcraft’s expertly designed range of fixings, plus their willingness to produce bespoke brackets at no extra cost means our Morgan weathervane can be sited almost anywhere. Just send us a photo of the intended location and we’ll do the rest!
The Morgan profile also looks great as a house sign or set of hand forged coat hooks - if you are looking for Morgan gifts, get in touch to discuss your ideas!
Designed and crafted entirely in the UK, Black Fox Metalcraft's weathervanes are all electroplated as standard, meaning their lifespan will be significantly longer than that of a non electroplated version. The matt black powdercoat gives a traditional aesthetic, which because of the high standard of the finish, will be maintained for many years to come. For advice on choosing the most appropriate size of weathervane for your property and the location, have a look at the weathervanes installation page. For information regarding fixings, please read the fixings information page.
