From Summer 2026 we are offering blacksmithing experience half days for individuals, couples and small groups at our workshop near Hawick in the Scottish Borders. A wonderful gift for anyone who loves being creative and trying new things! In a world that is increasingly dominated by screens, why not take a step back and learn to make something by hand, either as a gift for a loved one or a treat for yourself?
Have a go at working hot metal over our anvil and make yourself a souvenir of the day. You’ll also have chance to try out our vintage fly press, or have a go at welding if you fancy it - our blacksmithing experiences can be personalised to meet your interests. If you have a beginner project in mind that you’d like us to help you with, contact us to discuss your ideas before booking.

Please note our blacksmithing experiences are aimed at beginners, for groups of a maximum of four people. During 2026, our prices are £60 per person for a half day (4-5 hours so we can work around school and childcare arrangements).
