Continue ShoppingSince being established in 2012, works created by UK based Black Fox Metalcraft have been featured in the media multiple times. This page shows examples of some interesting projects you may have seen on TV!
The team at Black Fox Metalcraft are highly skilled in multiple areas of metalworking, so are usually able to make exactly what you want. If an idea isn’t possible we will always be honest about it, but are able to use our creativity and problem solving abilities to bring the most complex ideas to life.
Black Fox are professional and easy to work with - we are happy to collaborate to turn any idea into a functioning weathervane, with as much or as little input as the customer desires. Being flexible and organised means that we can work to the tight schedules often required by TV production companies.
We produced a bespoke, gilded weathervane to be featured in Monty Don’s dog garden at RHS Chelsea 2025. It features a design based on the presenters golden retriever dog Ned, who had inspired the garden. We worked along side the garden designers to create exactly what they wanted, completing the work on an extremely tight timescale.
We were proud to be a part of such a high profile event, and as dog lovers we really appreciated the concept of a dog garden. The weather vane was selected by the garden designer as one of his top five favourite features in the dog garden.
We loved watching the early series of Amazing spaces as we were in the middle of a house rennovation project ourselves, and were delighted when one of our customers got in touch to say his small space build would be featured on the show. He was a railway enthusiast and had chosen one of our steam train weathervanes to be the focal point on the roof of his build.
In 2018 we produced a weathervane for ITV's series Love Your Garden. The team were rennovating a garden for a D Day veteran; he'd been a dispatch rider during the war and they chose one of our vintage motorcycle weathervanes to top off his garden shed. This was created on a very short timescale; the deadline was met because of our flexibility and willingness to prioritise.
