Otter Hanging Basket Bracket

A stunning hand forged hanging basket bracket with laser cut Otter on the riverbank design - a great Otter themed gift for any nature loving gardener. Though rarely glimpsed, Otters are found in waterways throughout the UK, and as a nature lover, they are one of my favourite animals so I loved designing this bracket! I drew this Otter hanging basket bracket design after spending a week in a holiday cottage on the river Esk in Cumbria, where one morning we watched a group of four Otters playing on the river bank - an enduring memory, and the only time I've ever seen Otters in the wild.

Designed to last and capable of holding a full, heavy basket of plants, the hook is forged from 10mm square bar, while the laser cut profile, though intricate and detailed, is cut from chunky 3mm steel. The arm of the bracket is made by hand on our coal forge using centuries old blacksmithing techniques. It extends 32cm from the wall, making it suitable for a basket with a maximum diameter of 40 cm.
