This vintage car weathervane features a stylish profile of the Austin 7 Ruby. Stylistically it is a big car in miniature, weighing less than half that of the American Ford model T of the same era. The Austin 7 was produced in the UK from the early 1920s up until the outbreak of world war 2 as an affordable car for young families. It’s production transformed the fortunes of the struggling Austin motor company; nearly 300,000 had been sold by the end of the 1930s.
Black Fox Metalcraft’s Austin 7 ruby weathervane makes a thoughtful and unique gift for any enthusiast of this iconic vintage car. The unmistakable silhouette of the Austin 7 is precision-cut from steel using a nitrogen-shrouded laser, resulting in a bold and stylish profile against the sky. A striking way to express your enthusiasm for this car, our weathervane is built to endure the elements and be admired for many years to come.
Fixings are individually made to order, so can be custom made to fit virtually any building or structure. If you’re not sure what you need, feel free to send us a photo and we’ll be happy to advise.

Designed and crafted entirely in the UK, Black Fox Metalcraft's weathervanes are all electroplated as standard, meaning their lifespan will be significantly longer than that of a non electroplated version. The matt black powdercoat gives a traditional aesthetic, which because of the high standard of the finish, will be maintained for many years to come. For advice on choosing the most appropriate size of weathervane for your property and the location, have a look at the weathervanes installation page.
