A stunning weathervane depicting the famous tea party scene from Alice in Wonderland, the popular Lewis Carrol novel.  All of our weathervanes are built to the highest standard. The finish consists of a layer zinc electroplate, applied before the highly durable matt black powder coat is baked on at 170 degrees. It has the look of traditional ironwork, but with it’s longevity extended by the most up to date knowledge and processes.

How long should my Alice in Wonderland weathervane last?

Your location will play a significant role in the longevity of your weathervane. If you're situated on a cliff by the sea, the salt air and strong winds will inevitably affect the lifespan of any metalwork. This is in stark contrast to a weathervane mounted on a summerhouse in a sheltered inland garden. We began producing our weather vanes more than a decade ago, and our original prototypes are still in excellent condition today, thanks to the highly durable finish. Some of these prototypes are even located in coastal areas, where they continue to look great despite the wind and salty air.

Designed and crafted entirely in the UK, Black Fox Metalcraft's weathervanes are all electroplated as standard, meaning their lifespan will be significantly longer than that of a non electroplated version. The matt black powdercoat gives a traditional aesthetic, which because of the high standard of the finish, will be maintained for many years to come. For advice on choosing the most appropriate size of weathervane for your property and the location, have a look at the weathervanes installation page.
