Classic Mini Weathervane

The classic mini is an instantly recognisable symbol of 60s British pop culture. Manufactured in Birmingham from the end of the 1950s, this small car was designed as a response to the rationing of petrol following the Suez crisis in the mid 50s, and the resulting popularity of smaller, more economic cars. In 1999, the Mini was voted the 2nd most influential car of the 20th century, after the Ford model T.
