Swallows Weathervane

This dinstinctive weathervane design captures the beauty and elegance of Swallows in flight and is one of our favourites from our range of bird themed weathervanes. We had no shortage of inspiration for this design; every May our valley is filled with the sound of Swallows' chatter; it really does seem very quiet without them when they head south as the leaves start to turn.

This Swallows design was drawn with functionality in mind. Notice how the bird at the front has turned to reveal her lighter feathers - this area is cut out so that the vast majority of the surface area is at the back of the sail. Balanced perfectly by a chunky, original arrow head, this weathervane functions perfectly as a weather reading tool as well as being an attractive addition to any garden. Crafted to order in the UK, all of Black Fox Metalcraft's weathervanes are electroplated with zinc, therefore increasing their lifespan tenfold in comparison to a non electroplated weathervane. The matt black powdercoat finish maintains the look of traditional black ironwork, allowing this weathervane to be appreciated and enjoyed for many years to come.
